My Experience as a Judge at the IIM Supermodel Competition held in Toronto

*special thanks to Jenny Hong*

As a judge for the IIM Supermodel competition held at Aga Khan Museum, I was tasked with evaluating the performance of the participants and determining which of them had the potential to become the next supermodel. It was an honor to be part of this prestigious event that brought together some of the brightest and most talented minds in the fashion industry.

On the day of the event, I arrived at the Aga Khan Museum early in the evening to prepare for the day ahead. The organizers of the event greeted me and gave me a rundown of the day's proceedings, and I was introduced to the other judges who would be joining me on the panel.

After settling in, the first task of the evening was to review procedures to grade the contestants and a run-down on what to expect during the show. This gave me a good idea of the different styles and approaches that the contestants would be taking and helped me to prepare myself for how to grade during the runway show.

As the evening progressed, I watched the participants as they prepared for their turn on the runway. I had the opportunity to talk to some of them and learn more about their backgrounds, inspirations, and aspirations. This helped me to gain a deeper understanding of what they were trying to achieve.

Once the runway show began, I sat with the other judges to watch the contestants strut their stuff on the catwalk. I was looking for a range of qualities, including poise, confidence, style, and elegance. I also took note of their body language, expressions, and ability to connect with the audience.

At the end of the show, I had the opportunity to confer with the other judges and compare notes. Together, we worked to determine which of the participants best embodied the qualities we were looking for in a supermodel. We also took into consideration the criteria set forth by the competition organizers, such as beauty, physique, and charisma.

Once we had reached a decision, we made our way to the stage to announce the winner. It was an exciting moment, as the audience waited with bated breath to hear who would move to the finals of the IIM Supermodel competition. I and the other judges and had the honor of presenting the finalists with their trophies and congratulating them on their success, and also allowed us to provide them with valuable feedback.

In summary, serving as a judge for the IIM Supermodel finals competition held in Toronto was an incredibly exciting and fulfilling opportunity. It called for all the contestants to have sharp attention to detail, profound knowledge of fashion, and the capacity to convey opinions in a clear and compelling manner. It was an unforgettable experience that will be treasured for many years.
